Selecting Date(s) / Reserving Room(s)
Determine the date(s) you would like to interview and book one of our 18 interview rooms by:

1. Make sure you have a Careers4Terps account and have completed your profile. If you don’t, then set up an account. You may need to wait up to two business days for your account to be approved.

Once your account is approved you will be sent a username and password. When you first sign in, select “profile” from the menu bar across the top of the page to complete the profile of your organization.

2. At least four weeks must be allotted from the date the position and schedule are posted to the date of the interview(s). Four weeks are needed so students have time to request interviews, you have time to review their resumes, and students have time to select a specific interview time.

For best selection, schedule fall semester interviews by early August and spring semester interviews by early December.

3. After you sign-in, on the Careers4Terps Employer Home Page, select “Create New Schedule Request” in the Quick Links section to access the OCI Request Form.

4. Once we have approved your date and assigned rooms to your schedule, you will still need to post/attach a job to your schedule in order for it to be active and viewable by students. The earlier this is done, the more opportunity students have to see your job and apply. There will be a link under the “alerts” on your Careers4Terps Employer Home Page that will direct you to the page to add your position description.

5. You will receive a confirmation e-mail after your job has been posted and your schedule has received final approval. This will include directions/parking information. Forward a copy to the interviewers who will be attending that day.

6. If you need to make any changes to the date or times on your schedule, contact 301.405.2780 prior to inviting students. Once students have signed up to a schedule, it becomes more difficult to accommodate these changes.

If you have questions about filling out the form, dates, etc., contact 301.405.2780.

Parking for OCI
Parking is available in the fee-based Union Lane Parking Garage. You are responsible for parking fees and any parking violations/citations. To reach the Union Lane Parking Garage entrance, enter campus from Route 1 and turn onto Campus Drive at the main entrance. At the traffic circle (the "M"), go halfway around and continue on Campus Drive. Turn right onto Union Lane just past Stamp Student Union. Turn left into the Union Lane Garage. Map

Directions from Union Lane Garage to the University Career Center
Walk out of the garage where you drove in. Turn right onto Union Lane. At the corner of Union Lane and Campus Drive, turn left and walk down Campus Drive. Walk past the Stamp Student Union and Hornbake Plaza on your left. The first building past Hornbake Plaza is Hornbake Library building. Enter through the single set of double doors indicating “classrooms”. (Warning: Don't enter the series of glass doors to your left behind the tall columns. This is the library wing.) Walk down the hall to the elevators. The University Career Center is on the third floor and opens at 8:15 am for On-Campus Interviewing.

Interviewing outside of the Regular OCI Recruitment Period
You can interview students in our suite outside of the regular recruitment period, such as during the summer session or winter session by reserving one or more interview rooms.

However, we require you to manage your student interview schedule yourself.   In other words, book an interview room, post a job in Careers4Terps (noting the interview date), review the applications/resumes, select students to interview, and contact them directly to tell them to come to the University Career Center suite.
