During these sessions, our staff can help you plan solutions for your career-related concerns while identifying appropriate University Career Center resources, programs, and services. We can critique your resume, C.V., cover letter, or graduate school application essay.

Careers4Terps
This is a Web-based service providing access to job listings. It can be used after graduation, but you need to change your status to “Alumni.”

To access an existing account visit: https://umd-csm.symplicity.com/students

1. Log in using your username and password. If you forgot your password, click “forgot password” and enter your e-mail address.

NOTE: If you had an alumni account before July 2007 or are requesting a new account, follow the directions below to request a new updated account.

Alumni requesting a new Careers4Terps account
1. Go to https://umd-csm.symplicity.com/students
2. Click “register” under the alumni registration tab.
3. Complete the required items on the registration page.
Note: If you don’t know your University ID number, type “alumni” in this section.

You will receive an e-mail to verify that you set up the account. After your account is approved by our UCC staff, you will receive your username and temporary password to log in.

Career Fairs
Career fairs are open to alumni. Bring copies of your resume; and, if possible, your old student ID card. If you don’t have your card, sign in at the career fair and present your resume.

Credentials
This is a secured place to keep letters of recommendation and background information to support your applications for employment and graduate/professional school.

If established within 6 months of graduation, the cost is $20 to establish and includes five mailings, and $5 for each additional mailing within that 12 month period.

After 6 months, new registrants are charged $20 and receive three mailings, and $7 for each additional mailing. After initial 12 month period, all additional mailings cost $7.

Payments must be made by check or money order payable to the “University of Maryland”, with your social security number included on the check. No cash accepted.

Employer Pre-Night/Information Sessions

There are numerous opportunities to meet employers as they present information on their organizations and the positions they are looking to fill. This is open to all alumni. The events calendar lists them. Use the search feature and select Employer Pre-Nights/Information Sessions.

On-Campus Interviews
Interviews are conducted during the fall and the spring semesters for part-time, internship and full-time positions. These interviews are available to alumni within 12 months of graduation.

We offer a multi-media collection of resources to assist with career planning and job search strategies. Materials include self-assessment; career exploration and job search tools; graduate and professional school information; directories of employers; and computers to access job listings and to research employers and careers.
